I made it!
So here I am, in the bay area! This time, I’m not visiting, but I live here and it feels awesome. You know you’ve moved to the right place when you’re only there for a few days and you already feel at home. My husband & I are staying with our best friend, Karim, in Oakland – Lake Merritt area. It’s October and it’s about 8o degrees out and sunny- you gotta love that. During a stroll around the neighborhood I discover a building on Bellevue Avenue with some trompe l’oeil hinges on the facade. Pretty cool. There seems to be art and design literally on every corner of this visually stunning city and I can’t wait to take it all in. More on my adventures in my new city soon!
Interior Monkey is Moving to San Francisco!
Yes it’s true! We’re moving to San Francisco! OK, Oakland actually…or maybe Berkeley…after all, we do need our sunshine. Today I say goodbye to our Columbus house and to little Gus (don’t worry Gus…only for a little bit- you’ll join us soon!). Stay tuned for news from our beloved Cali and the awesome, soon-to-be-our-new-home Bay Area! Peace!

I live with my husband Ed (and our chihuahua Gus) in Oakland, CA and our favorite thing in the world is traveling. I also like shopping, yoga, dancing, the beach, Indian food and anything chocolate.
