Two weeks had already passed and I was still unsure about which charity to donate to for relief to the people of Haiti. I was really leaning towards Yele Haiti, knowing that Wyclef Jean is a native son with strong ties to the community and assuming its help would be provided with minimal red tape. But it was still hard to determine where my contribution would be most helpful: the Red Cross? Doctors without Borders? Then I was very inspired by an article about Architecture for Humanity’s efforts in Haiti and how one could help support the long term reconstruction in the earthquake stricken country.
